Advent calender day fourteen

A gift for the little ones to keep their ears warm today. This is a really nice quick make that will be great for a last min present.

I've given this design for you in a child size but you can make it longer if you want to make it for an adult.

Childs flower headband by Liz Ward

You will need;
Chunky weight yarn in your choice of colour
5mm crochet hook
Wool needle
button

Stitches and Abbreviations
Sl st –slip stitch
dc – double crochet
tr – teble crochet
dtr – double tr
BLO – work in back loop only

Ch 14

Row 1: tr in the 3rd ch from hook, tr in each st along ch. 12sts
Row 2: BLO tr in each st to the end. 12sts

Repeat row 2 until the headband measures 18” 45cm or desired size

Fasten off and sew ends together to form a loop. Weave in and cut off any loose ends.

Flower



This pattern is worked in a spiral.
Start with 5 dc in to magic ring

Rnd 1 - 2dc into each st to the end. 6sts
 *Skip the next dc and starting with the next sts place stitch markers in alternate sts- leave stitch markers in till completely finished*
Rnd 2 – (ch3, skip the next dc, dc in the next st) repeat to end. 6ch spaces
Rnd 3 – (dc, 4tr dc) in each ch space the end. 6 petals
Rnd 4 – *working behind the petals created on the last row*- dc in the next unworked dc from rnd 2, (ch4, dc in the next unworked dc from rnd 2) repeat to end, sl st to join. 6 ch spaces
Rnd 5 – (dc, 2tr, 3dtr, 2tr dc) in each ch space the end. 6 large petals

Fasten off, sew a pretty button in the middle of the flower then sew in place on the headband. Weave in and cut off any loose ends.
